1 Corinthians 15:1 to 11 – What if?
What if there was no death at Easter?
Our sins could not be forgiven.
What if Jesus had not been buried.
We would not have known that he was dead
What if he did not rise from the dead?
Our faith would be futile. We would not know if Jesus really was the Son of God and Saviour.
What if there were no eye witnesses?
There would be so many doubts
But what if you really believed Jesus died, was buried, rose again, and was seen? What difference would it make?

1 Samuel 27:1 to 28:2 - A Godless heart
God is absent from David's thinking but God has not changed or gone anywhere. We see the great danger in looking inside ourselves or elsewhere for answers and yet at the same time there is the grace of God at work . God is so gracious to us he even allows us to serve and succeed when we are faltering in our faith, but things only turn around for David when he starts talking to God again.

Sandwiched in between two chapters where David shows honour to Saul and great patience and maturity, David very nearly makes a big mistake by acting hastily and the restraint he shows with Saul is abandoned. It almost has disastrous consequences but for the intervention of the wise Abigail.
